Running your rewards store

Gifts are on all our minds this time of year. So let’s talk about the Rewards Store in LiveSchool. It's all about giving students cool opportunities and exciting perks based on the points they earn. Let's break it down:

1. Get Started: Make sure your Rewards Store is set up by checking out our article here.

2. Giving Rewards: On the rewards screen, find students using the Roster Picker or Search. You can pick by rosters, grades, or just search for anyone in the school.

3. Check Out Time: After choosing a student, hit continue, and let them pick the rewards they want. It's like giving points. The system even grays out items if they don't have enough points.

4. Fast and Furious Checkout: Want to sell items like raffle tickets quickly? Hit the three dots in the top right corner for Fast Checkout. It's speedy and efficient, letting you check out multiple students with just a few clicks.

5. History Lesson: See what students have bought by checking out the Timeline in the Rewards Store. Need to refund a reward? No problem, just follow these steps.

6. Data Magic: Curious about who snagged a specific reward? Filter the Timeline by Item and download the list. Here’s a full breakdown on the steps.

7. Popular Picks: Discover the coolest rewards by visiting the Rewards Scoreboard in Insights. Sort them from high to low to see what's hot.

Now you're set to rock your LiveSchool Rewards system! Engage your students, keep it fun, and watch those points turn into motivation. Happy rewarding! 🌟

Mystery behavior

Keeping students motivated this time of year is challenging. That’s why some of our schools are using mystery behaviors.

What’s that? They create a mystery behavior on their rubric worth a certain number of bonus points. As you and your teachers see students following that behavior, students get points! At the end of the week or month, they announce what that behavior was.

It keeps students motivated and engaged as they try to earn those extra points to spend in your Store or put their House in the lead.

Here’s what you need to get started:

1. Update your rubric.

2. Tell your teachers.

3. Track that behavior in Insights (see how)!

That’s it!

Common FAQs ❓

Here are the most common support questions we’ve received this month:

How do I backdate points or view specific timeframes?

Use the time selector under the More menu in the top right corner of the Points Screen to choose a new date and time for the point. Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to change the date or time of a point.

You can also change the timeframe for viewing students’ data bubbles, in case you want to see points for this week or the whole school year so far. Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to customize the timeframe on the Points Screen.

Encourage your teachers to combine these features with incentives and goals. For instance, "Students with over 20 points by Friday get extra recess!"

What should I do to prepare for Post-Winter Break?

Check out your top five students with the most positive/negative points, the behaviors that earned the most positive/negative points, and the rewards that students spent the most points on. Where else might you want to focus your efforts? Here’s a quick walkthrough on finding your top students, behaviors, and rewards.

In case there are Rosters that your teachers have hidden, or that they use less often, your staff can hide or unhide rosters. Here’s a quick walkthrough for how your staff can manage their rosters.

How do I invite a teacher who hasn’t gotten started yet?

From the Main Menu select Setup and then Users. In the top center, there will be a button that says Send Invites. Click here for all Users to receive a setup email. Here’s a quick walkthrough on inviting all your teachers.
