It’s the countdown to winter break. You feel it. Your teacher friends feel it. Your students feel it too. That’s why we’re focused on helping you make the most of the last weeks of 2023 to keep students motivated with rewards and reflections.
Your data 📈
You have recorded 0 points in LiveSchool over the last 30 days!
Have you explored your LiveSchool data this year? With LiveSchool, check your dashboard to track who's receiving the most points, why they earned them, and when they were awarded.

A favorite data point to look at is how many points you’ve given to every student. We know it can be challenging to recognize everyone, so this is a great check-in to see if some students need some extra attention in these next weeks.

Keeping students motivated this time of year is challenging. That’s why some of our schools are using class goals. It’s powerful when your class is all working to achieve a common goal!
Class points in LiveSchool are the number of points earned by the students in a specific class. For instance, if you award a point to a student in your 2nd-period class, the total for your class will go up by one. But if that same student receives a point in Gym, it won’t change the total for your 2nd-period class.
Class goals are great this time of year. For instance, you might say that if the class can reach 1,000 points before winter break, you will have a pizza party.
Here are the most common support questions we’ve received this month:
1. How do I backdate points or view specific timeframes?
Use the time selector under the More menu in the top right corner of the Points Screen to choose a new date and time for the point. Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to change the date or time of a point.
You can also change the time frame for viewing students’ data bubbles, in case you want to see points for this week or the whole year so far. Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to customize the timeframe on the Points Screen.
Combine these features with incentives and goals. For instance, "Students with over 20 points by Friday get extra recess!"
2. What should I do to prepare for post-winter break?
Check out your top five students with the most positive/negative points, the behaviors that earned the most positive/negative points, and the rewards that students spent the most points on. Where else might you want to focus your efforts? Here’s a quick walkthroughon finding your top students, behaviors, and rewards.
In case there are Rosters you use less often, you can hide a Roster to take it out of your Rosters list. Here’s a quick walkthrough on managing your rosters.
